ILC-Brazil has begun a new collaboration with the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation (RWJF) based in Princeton, New Jersey. Established by the health products manufacturer Johnson & Johnson, RWJF is the largest US philanthropy focused solely on health issues and has over 9 billion dollars in assets. ILC-Brazil’s President Alexandre Kalache has now joined the RWJF advisory board on global health. Its function is to articulate priorities based on global best practice. He attended the first face-to-face meeting at RWJF headquarters in Princeton in December 2016. The organization allocates grants totaling nearly $400 million annually.
